For sure lowball offers can be a bother. I get them now and then. This is why people often put 'serious inquires only' in their ads.

always add some room in your asking price...some bargaining room ....a few hundred at least.

and...sincerely ..people who use 'price' as in 'what can I get it for?' ..not even the market we seek to attract. Attract sincere buyers that are interested in a decent vanor the asking price.

I won't even respond to super low offers. I also don't like this one at all.. without ever seeing the van or knowing much about it ( say it's $ 6K askingprice )...they'll ask 'will you take $ 5,20 or it ?

What does that really mean ? ..does that mean they get here and for sure they'll buy it for 5,200 ? does that mean they'll get here and try to talk me down further ? I do not 'entertain' such 'offers' ...just kinda sleasy.

a decent person will figure out that what you have is fair for the price.. and just be pleasant to deal with.

It is NOT at all , in my world, about what we can get from or gain off of each other .. it's how we can work together for win-win. Just one caveat ..be real careful who you are generous with ..some'll just take ya for all they can get. BTDT.

I suggest 'educate' in your ad..why it's worth what you are asking . Not convince, 'educate.' S. On 7/13/2013 10:59 AM, J Stewart wrote: > You're right, it shouldn't bother me. But for some reason it does, don't know why. Maybe cause when I'm trying to sell one I get frustrated with low ball offers when I think I'm asking a fair reasonable price.
