Subject: Shift Linkage Woes -- 1984 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I'm working on a friends 84 Westy. The shifting is vague and you don't need to depress the shift lever to engage reverse. It seems like there is excessive movement in the front portion of the linkage. I found a collection of broken plastic bits in the spare tire but can't determine where they came from. Any advice, assistance would be greatly appreciated. Gary Meier
