My HTC Android goes all wonky if I forget and leave it exposed in the
traveling mount I use, up on the dash next to the instrument pod. If I
happen to park somewhere and work all day with the direct sun on the phone.
mounted there, it hates it. Probably gets pretty dang hot, being black
and being mounted on a poop brown dash....
Speaking of that, the reason we now have Smart Phones rather than regular
inexpensive and basic cell phones is that my S.O. was using her old cell on
a bicycle ride and during a roadside visit to one of those nasty portable
outhouses, it fell out of her bike jersey pocket and ......dropped into the
tank....She *says* she wanted a new phone anyhow and so she just left it
down there....I don't know if I'd have gone after it either...luckily I
wasn't along, or I probably would have been asked to ...get it...and then
there would have been trouble ......
