dear the count

one of the most attractive things about vanagon gerry is that it is very old school in design - the emails are my choice to open or not - i can delete even after opening if i see it is not to me as such - i have saved dozens with links to shops or people with various levels of parts or skills they speak about in the discussions - there is no hierarchy - there are moderators - it takes effort to respond or participate and sometimes it requires thoughtfulness to respond -

i do not face book and it is very unlikely i will - i tried it for a while - but i can not control your friends and lets say i go to a gathering of some sort and there is behavior at that gathering i do not wish to be associated with but somehow my image ends up in the group photo shot taken right when that behavior has reached the zenith -- then one of your pals tags my image and the next thing i know the entire world suddenly associates me with that behavior - no thanks -- so before all the conspiracy guys say - oh gee isn't he a little paranoid - it has already happened locally where i was at an event and their hired photographer included me in a picture - which i specifically asked him not to do - then they produced a fund raising dvd for their cause - included in that dvd was my image - when i approached the sellers of the dvd at fund raisers they all said they were volunteers and had no idea what was on the dvd - i called the head office numerous times - first with polite please call me back - then with more upset my lawyer may be calling you - the dvd disappeared at least from this realm - the cause they were pushing may have been noble in some ways it even had some good points - the group pushing the cause - were a bunch of displaced folks attempting to stir up public sympathy for their side by demonizing other other side - point is the "other side" in this game was part of my income at the time and i readily consume the product every day - still -

i realize this is not a facebook discussion as such - regards
