Four night camping trip on the verge of Big Summit Prairie in the Ochoco Mountains east of Prineville, Ore.

Newspaper article about the Prairie here: <http://www.bendbulletin.com/article/20100715/SPORTS0411/7150320/>

BSP is mostly private land, but it is surrounded by National Forest and BLM lands and dispersed camping (i.e., you can camp wherever you want) is permitted. No developed campgrounds. No cell service. No toilets. No water. No people.

Towing my little camping equipment trailer, I drove up there in about 90 minutes' time and found a sweet spot in a copse of shade trees. Set up my Lazy Boy awning, set up the solar panels for the Vitrifrigo refrigerator, set up my latest toy, a Old Smokey charcoal smoker, and proceeded to do as little as possible for the next few days except cook and wander about.

A friend joined up bearing beer and wine and Fig Newtons and stayed nearby for two nights. It got into the upper 80s, lower 90s during the day, upper 40s at night.

No mechanical issues to report.
