For the sake of VC.....

If one carries a small jewellers Phillips and flat blade in their bus, it's likely they can open up their cell phone and let it dry out. And that Phillips/flat blade that comes with your new eyeglasses should work in a pinch.

I suspect moisture got in. Took phone apart let it sit overnight, put it together/apart several more times. Display not discoloured any more though "On" switch has to be pushed "just so" for phone to work. Touch screen now works 100%.

Seems a phone in pocket beside the camp fire likely won't harm a cell phone ..... unless that pocket is on fire.
