Some of them have a power lead but the less expensive ones don't. I have installed the cheaper type on several vans. They always worked but not always for very long. Depending on how you plan to use the trailer you might be better off with a set of diodes in a "W" configuration feeding LED trailer lights. I find that setup to be reliable and bright.
