He is asking a high finished van price for a basket case project van. It is more likely that it will end up at a crusher than ever be put back in use as a completed van. I would like to have it but I'm far from a typical buyer. Hardtop vans have spiked a little in price lately around me and I have some damaged/rusty Westy vans that need new bodies. It is a shame that so many good bodies have already been crushed due to mechanical issues. I guess that is part of what makes the remaining vans as valuable as they are.

That leaves just newbies as potential buyers, in which case the seller needs to include a link to the Go Westy! website with the explanation that one can flip it for "crazy money" once they are done putting it back together! This will fool the newbie into thinking they are making an "investment".
