So we talked about if it were possible to take a late model headlight switch (the T version that is for the mid 90-91 Vanagon only) and use an early version (the M version which all other Vanagons used) to repair it. I just did this yesterday and it works great! I also did a video of me doing it which you can check out here: http://youtu.be/OPH_DcYSRl4 It is a little long and at one point I am aiming the camera at a pile of trash on my work bench, but I think it gives you a good idea of how to get this done successfully.
