Eric, The whole license light assembly will pull down from the black plastic surround after you remove the 2 Phillips head sheet metal screws.. Assembly consists of the rubber seal, the bulb holder and the clear lens. It's likely not working due to rust. Peal the gasket back, unhook the wires and clean it all up and it'll probably fix the problem. Jim Never to wrong others takes one a long way towards peace of mind. -- Seneca On Jul 27, 2013, at 12:08 PM, Eric Caron <ecaron1@COMCAST.NET> wrote: > Hi listers, > > As I didn't get teased for my request for info on replacing my marker light bulb I'm taking a chance on the next bulb replacement. > > I tried to remove the plastic cover over one of the license plate bulbs and found myself stuck again. I took off two screws and then tried to gently pull on the plastic cover to get it off. I was unsuccessful. I would rather ask you folks how to get it off then pull too hard or incorrectly and break something. So tips on this plastic lens removal or directions on how to access the bulb would be appreciated. > > Eric Caron > 85 GL Westfalia auto |
