Does the trailer light converter have a "power in" wire?
Otherwise all the voltage would come from the spliced taillight.
I wonder if they make a voltage booster or relay kit?

Before you do the same thing I am having an issue with not getting
enough voltage out of the convertor to have viewable brake lights.
