Add the cost of the $5000 (when you don't have factory A/C) Small Car
in-dash system to your Westy investment when you go looking for that new
camper the family will ride in with you, and decide what works for your
finances.  A/C is expensive no matter what you do, but now we've come to
expect it and can't seem to live without it.  But you are still camping in
the heat . . .

Ok, the family has put their feet down. There were too many hot times in our
last trip. (Got up to 105F at one point.) windows open, not much help.  I
need to cool my '87 Westy. While on the road.

Is it realistic or reasonable to try to install an AC in her?

Any recommended solution?

Thinking about the evaporative cooler. Pros or Cons? Recommended models?
Where could I get one not on line? Saw one from GoCool, anyone else see
this?

If I can't cool the van down, then I will be traveling alone. Your help is
appreciated!
