When changing oil you never get it all out. So if you plan to use something good why put something cheap or of the wrong viscosity to use as a flush? If this engine really has 900 miles on it there shouldn't be anything in there that doesn't belong. Also, unless you adding external oil cooling equipment with additional failure points what can go wrong? If you use 5w-30 no long high speed drives especially with AC. Even with 5w-40 an extended high speed drive may test the oil pressure warning buzzer. Even in cold weather the oil cooler (heat exchanger) will ensure the oil will get hot. If using a good filter there should be no reason to dump the oil quickly.

Definitely change it ~ get that old stuff out of there ~ Put in some cheep 30W or 5W30 (WalmartSuperTech would be my choice) & run it for a couple of hours & dump it ~ then put in a Good quality 5W30 or 5W40, depending on how hot the temp's are where you are & run that for the next 1000miles ~ then dump that & put in whatever FullSynthetic you think is best ~ I would run 0W40 if I could find it in a Brand I like.
