My vanagon took a hiatus with my dad. He decided to put it in storage for a couple years. When he gave it back to me it didn't run and would spew gas everywhere in the back. I found the firewall hose completely discoed and repaired. Runs great now, but after my first trip around the block I am smelling a gas odor up front by the fill side of the tank. Five or more years ago I replaced the crossover pipes and resealed the expansion tanks...bought the kit. I am wondering if its time to do it again. I will be investigating...any quick way of knowing that I have to do this? I don't remember the process but I am sure the archives will yield good results. Thanks for any advice Dave 85 gl "baby bus" Sent from my iPad |
