If all tank seals were done along with the expansion tank grommets etc., maybe time has taken it's toll. Like under normal circumstances, while driving around with a full or near full tank, does fuel splash up onto the bottom of the seals? If so, does this help keep them from drying out? OTOH.... Maybe only a partial tank reseal job was done 5 years ago? Like the filler neck grommet and small pipe grommet weren't replaced? Maybe an old braided low pressure hose got left in place and is now leaking? Removing the FR wheel makes it easier to check for signs of leaks at the grommet where the filler neck small pipe fits. The fill neck grommet is hidden behind the frame rail, but if it's leaking, you should see signs of that elsewhere. I am wondering if its time to do it again. I will be investigating...any quick way of knowing that I have to do this?
