Hello everyone,

Been a while since I posted anything here.

I just sold my van, I fell on hard times, could not maintain the repairs any longer.

6 months ago the transmission started to have slipping issues where it would sometimes work then would not, tried a couple of remedies nothing worked so it was time to let it go.

I took a huge loss on it but difficult times required hard decisions.

I had restored it but had rust rot in the footstep drivers side, electrical gremlins in the head lights and power windows/ locks, and rust under the a 6" piece of plastic body molding.

I basically gave everything I had that was Vanagon Away. All my manuals, mint original brochures, all the pieces to convert the van minus canvas to turn it into a poptop plus misc parts.

I had rebuilt the engine 10,000 miles ago and put on SA grill, new hankook tires, and aux coolers for the oil and tranny.

Plus it had a 400 watt infinity amp, front speakers and rear MA 3 ways with a infinity bass amp.

Sold for $1,500 dollars! I was asking for $4k. But on the east coast in NY there are not a lot of buyers.

So on that note, I got screwed I think but I needed it gone. Was moving.

I thank each and every person for the 10 years I was on the forum. Your knowledge was invaluable, patience like a saint and dedication to the Vanagon cause unwavering.

A special shout out to Ken Wilford who spent many calls walking me through diagnostics in attempts to rectify my issues. Others include, Dennis Haynes, Terry K(no longer on the forum) and to the countless others who had replied to my posts over the years.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now for my final question, how do I sign off from the list? Lol.

May life align to bring all your hopes and dreams into realization for your highest and best good. Namaste
