I got a new bottle from a local parts vendor, for $35.75. Maybe in 20 years I will need another. So, I don't think I need to spend well in excess of $200 for an aluminum bottle. Perhaps, in fact, RMW is pulling our collective legs? mcneely ------- Caution: leg pulling follows?

Dave, I do in all sincerity wish your new FLAPS $35.74 bottle a great 22-23 years without trouble. I bought a new one from my local FLAPS for about the same price a few years ago. Lasted about 10 minutes. Pressure-Cap leaked and then popped off the threads when tightened a bit more.. Would not seal to a genuine VAG supplied Presser Cap...

Replaced with a VW-Dealer supplied bottle for $50-some.. Worked well for the next 2 years. Retired from use due to an engine conversion project…

I'm sceptical of aftermarket parts across the board, so to speak. The original parts supplied by VAG were most often very good to stellar in their longevity. Most parts from the Dealer still work well. The aftermarket stuff? Some work ok, others not so well.

The aluminum RMW tank… BLING price but a longevity that will prove itself over time. Let us not hold our breath(s)...

Good longevity to you Dave and your new pressure bottle..
