I replaced mine 3 years ago with one that cost me 35-45 bucks. Not from dealer, but it seems good quality and hasn't failed yet :)


I'm sorry I can't give you any more clues to it's provenance, but if I was to buy one again today, I'd go to the dealer and see what they have. It is strange to say, given all we know about VW dealers, but my local dealer (Speedway, VIctoria) is pretty good for parts.
