You need one that at least goes down to half grams. Go to Wal-Mart and search, they have several good electronic ones for $30.00 on down. Mine will zero out with a container on it for small parts. Also I would not carry it around un-necessarily in your car. The constabulary just love to see them on car seats. It gives them "probably cause" to look up every orifice you have!

Mine works best while listening to ZZ Top. From a different time!
