Neil, I can't speak intelligently about the LED Driver, but on a quick look, it does not appear to be a true battery charger. Am certain some of the experts will chime in on this. When I purchased mine, the best reseller price and support came from John Drake. Their knowledge and that of Iota tech support gave me all I needed to feel comfortable installing the unit. .
