My new backup light is also switched at the dash via a small toggle switch. When in reverse, hand on shifter, it's *just* within finger reach. In hindsight (ha ha ha) I should have installed a lighted switch. OTOH, space was tight where I installed the switch and I doubt I'd see that idiot light during daylight hours.....
