Neil,

I can't speak intelligently about the LED Driver, but on a quick look, it
does not appear to be a true battery charger.  Am certain some of the
experts will chime in on this.

In your research on the Iota, you probably looked at these links, but if
not, you might find some helpful information---either PDF's or other links.

If you go with the Iota, I would certainly get the unit with the built in
IQ4

You found a very good price for the DLS-30/IQ4 ($121 + shipping).  When I
purchased mine, the best reseller price and support came from John Drake.
Their knowledge and that of Iota tech support gave me all I needed to feel
comfortable installing the unit.  .
