Subject: thanks to our vendors

https://www.v.me/ Let me start by suggesting a service from V.Me.   I will come back.   My water pump in my 87 westy went south on me again.   This is my third about every 7 years like the 7 year itch.   The first was replaced with a busdepot failed with a bad seal.   The second with a bosch bought locally because I was in a hurry and this failed with a bad bearing.   Bad bearing is worse than a bad seal so I purchased another from busdepot and purchased hoses to replace new with those next to the pump and cooler.   I am finding that the hose from the reservoir to the pump has gone obsolete with VW not available with Ron but Ken seems to still have a few.   Ron seems to be growing to fast these days and I have found errors in the last three orders I have placed with him.   He still has very good prices but the phones are too busy to try to fix any errors.   The hose from the cooler to the pump pipe was not the part I ordered so I ordered it from the local VW.   A part that Ron could have supplied if not for the error was 8x higher at VW and when V.me alerted me to a 24 dollar charge for a 3 dollar hose?   I called and tried to stop the charge?   During my pump installation found a power steering hose that appears failing and choose to go with vanagon café for a replacement tacking on the missing hose from Ron at addition 4 dollars.   We are lucky to have so many vendors for our aging machines and we should continue to support them all.   Gary
