I know you guys know this stuff, but I had to review Ohms Law again. If I look at voltage as the "push", depending on the battery(s) aH rating, appliance draws, wire gauge etc., a charger capable of a higher voltage output to push Amps into the battery, would be more beneficial?

Also, a comment over on thesamba makes sense. Roughly quoting here:

"an appliance cycling on/off (like a fridge) may confuse or mess up the automatic or intelligent aspect of an intelligent charger"

I can see this and I bet it depends on the charger. Like at one extreme, an old school charger supplying a steady output would maintain a battery and power appliances, Amp draw notwithstanding. It would not be "confused" by on/off cycling of loads but as we know, would not be optimal especially for an AGM battery.

But I know far less than most on electrical matters so take that with a grain of salt. ;)
