Eric, before you install it, test it for leaks. Get a bowl of water that is clear and large enough to submerge the faucet into. Flip the faucet upside down and submerge it in the water with the spout sticking out. Block the two holes on the bottom with your finger and blow with your mouth into the spout. There should be no bubbles coming out. Now turn the knob on the faucet to the other position and try this again. If no bubbles come out in both positions then you are good. If you get an air leak that means there is a problem with the faucet and it needs to be replaced or repaired before install. Just trying to save you the trouble of installing a leaky faucet. BTDT.
