Just made a discovery. In looking at the ETKA-7 parts blow-up - SG-51, illustration 35-08 - item 18 - it appears as if my muffler brackets have sometime in the past been installed upside down. From the picture - if the brackets are installed as shown - removal of the retaining strap should allow the muffler to simply drop straight down with no worries. But my brackets are installed with the curve on the bottom - not the top. I like things right - so I guess I will remove both and re-install. Thanks, John in hot and humid ol' Alabama!
