If one strap rusts enough to break, the other is also very thin and may
break immediately from the extra stress.
Because they are so thin to start with and exposed to high temperature
and the elements, those straps rust away in record time. You need to
fabricate something out of stainless steel. SS strap can often be found in
the plumbing section of a home center. Bend it in a double layer around a
bolt that you can put thru the hook at the top.
