Nothing fancy, but this was a nice stop before Medicine Hat

  It was much nicer than being in a city campground - although Gas City
campground in Med. Hat is decent and has showers, etc, which you may want
after 4 days on the road w/ the dog! ;)

If you break down in Regina, Cal is a good guy, albeit a bit gruff on first
impression: http://roadhaus.com/shops_search_map.php?state_id=61 - also the
http://www.bushwakker.com/ has great micro-brew beer and proper prairie
food, so don't be sad, have a beer and the sask hot plate.

If you kept going, I'd suggest Hwy 3 - great road for Vanagon speeds - I
don't like Hwy 1 much.
