Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Hi, I have a question regarding my 2.1 engine running rich when first started and then seems to smooth out when warmed after about 10 minutes, however yesterday , after I had driven home from work, about 5 miles, I turned the key off and then restarted the engine and it started running rough again, a little exhaust smoke and that exhaust odor of running rich, and then stalled. I just installed this engine a few weeks ago after a winter project of replacing the head gaskets and I now have just over 200 miles on it from short trips back and forth to work. This engine is new to me, as I bought it from someone last year who did a conversion. Your suggestions and advice is much appreciated. Thanks, Bob Anderson '86 Vanagon GL Wilmington, MA
