Subject: Distributor stuck extremely tight
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Have an 85, 1.9L wbxr original engine, 145K miles. Never had much reason to adjust timing. Trying to adjust, and the distributor won't budge. Undid the clamp, and tried some tools starting with hands on up to a very large adjustable pliers (grooves). It has resisted all attempts. I realize the distributor should turn, and in fact lift out, but not this one. Any tricks or ideas on how to loosen the distributor for adjusting or replacing. If anyone had a really tight one, and got it out, I'd like to know how it was done. Thanks for any ideas.
