Well you could use a sawsall to cut open only the center part of the
dash rather that tearing apart the whole dash.

Seriously though, to replace the blower the dash has to come out.

You can partially lubricate the blower by drilling what is known as a
Mullendore Port. This lets you direct lubricant at a bearing in hopes of
restoring use of the fan.

I don't fully support doing the M Port after learning of 2 people who
suffered burned up dash wiring when the motor later seized. Both cases
involved motors that were pretty frozen up before the lubrication and
worked for a while after the lubrication but could have resulted in the
complete loss of the vehicles to fire. Not worth it.
