Engine is running hot.
Wrong oil.
It is overfilled.
Engine is tired.
Wear limit 28 psi @ 4000 rpm.

Subject: Oil pressure question 2.1


I am considering a craigslist vanagon in the next state, a bit of a drive
for me. The owner says he is getting 22 pounds of oil pressure on the gauge
at 70 miles an hour. This seems about half what it should be. He also said
he has had problem with the oil buzzer going off, and I believe that
pressure this low would account for that.


Anyone want to comment?
