At first glance assumed email was from Mark Drillock. That would be a driving marathon!

If it's any help, with a 1994 96K km gas inline, getting the pump and housing off wasn't an issue. Not sure if mine uses a 30 mm hub pump, but there ya have it.

I wish them all the best. Sounds like quite the adventure!
