I believe the process described before does include removing and replacing
the housing. Otherwise, I think there are smaller 10mm bolts on the face
of the pump holding it onto the housing - about a dozen of them if I recall
correctly. It is easier to replace just the pump.
If you take the housing off, keep track of where each of the four bolts
came from as they are slightly different lengths. Check Bentley for
torques for those. Don't mess with the pump. When you take the water pump
belt off count or keep track of the spacers that are in the pulley vs those
outside the pulley unless you are replacing the belt also. The pulley is
the most difficult part of this job.
