This ongoing thread has reminded me that even if you choose to NOT go to any kind of larger brakes, if you change to SS brake lines up front expecially, you'll dramatically improve braking efficiency.

I noticed that on a car I had that I would autocross. It originally had rubber front lines and after a few minutes of hard accelerations and braking, efficiency would diminish a lot. After adding just SS lines completely changed that.

I've noticed the same thing on my van. I also luse my gearing for compression-braking, but also notice how little fade I have (almost zero) since adding the SS lines.

My only experience with rotor warpage was when I entered a water crossing area on the highway after a long descent. Since it was on a highway I didn't notice it until much later in the trip, so I just figured that was the event that caused it. Quich temperature change while the rotor was ver hot, and not being used, just rotating, with no pad pressure on it to keep it formed properly. Who knows for sure?
