Subject: ISO : rocker arm shaft carrier
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

some weeks ago I threatened to replace a spent pushrod tube seal. that stopped the seepage til yesterday - full blown leak. when I started to loosen the nut for the # 3 valves, a piece of the carrier came away. all four break points indicate long term oil staining. Van has been only a little off all summer for weak oil pressure from incorrect seal. when the tube was replaced ( IDK how long before me) an outer seal was used inboard. new seals are in appropriately - tube no longer wobbles in place. did the valves per Bentley - shaft carrier held in place with extra washer temporarily per Samba thread post. so, as the subject lines reads, I'm in search of a carrier for an `85  1.9. willing to buy entire shaft if necessary. reply here and show your support or PM me and be an off-season Secret Santa. thanks in advance - now, back to your regular programming ...     =(:|)       mike
