Following up on my solar controller readings of earlier this wee, which were taken under optimum conditions (cool morning and bright clear sunlight), this morning is mainly overcast with high cirrus clouds presaging tonight's storm. The sunlight getting through the cloud cover is bright enough to cast shadows, but just barely. Panel output 1.5, controller output 1.7 (the display on the controller only shows tenths of an amp, not hundredths). So about the same advantage as when the panel's in good conditions. -- Jack Elliott Sent from my 1963 peach and turquoise blue 702B Western Electric Princess phone. |
