Subject: New Fuel Tank - need help with retrofit?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Good evening.

I just received my "subject" today in the mail...a 50mm inlet at the fuel filler inlet and 12mm exit to fuel pump. Wanting to benefit from the 12mm exit for improved fuel flow and benefit from the absence of an almost 30 year old fuel tank, and the reduced costs of replacing fuel filters at every oil change.

I have an '84 (70mm filler; 7mm exit). I'm good with what I have to do with the exit; need help with the inlet, please.

Do I need to source a newer (used) 50mm filler neck? I plan to order a new level sender. I resealed my old tank last year.

Any advisement from those that have gone before?

The tank is a Spectra, gotten from autozone.com, 20% off $200 with free shipping. Coupon code "September20" (on the off-chance anyone would like to do same).

Thanks in advance.
