Scott,

This van won't have most of those problems, there is no drivetrain! That's why I think it's way overpriced.

re a nice weekend of draivetrain swapping (free if you do it yourself)

Why is it that every time I go to do that... ? a least 2 or 3 CV joints are bone dry .. a few of the CV 6mm allen screws are stripped and and badly stuck/rusted in, CV boots are shot, the gear oil needs changing .. the clutch hydraulics need bleeding, the entire shift linkage needs thorough lubrication, and possibly adjustment, and at least one back up light isn't working. play needs to be checked on the rear wheel bearings while were thinking about the trans and axle area. and the whole throwout mechanism needs a good going over until the cross shaft moves freely .. and then the clutch needs inspecting .. and then the rear main seal needs replacing.. and that can get into adjusting end play .. and most of the time the felt dust seal for the pilot bearing is missing .. the pilot brg is shot. and very commonly, the hard-to-get small metal ring that holds the felt seal in place in the flywheel is long gone .. and the clutch pedal clevis needs lubrication, having never been done in 25 years ..

it is *never* just install the parts in my experience....not to make things really right. not even close.

what fun !
