Houses, cars, even tools, pretty much everything.... they are now being made after careful market research into how short a half life you can get away with building...and ....manufacturers with deep pockets seem to be able to lobby to get legislation to remove older long-lasting things (like our vanagons) out of use, forcing us buy these new compliant 'disposable' vehicles, houses, appliances, etc... You all think there will be a cult following of people daily driving Toyota Prissy cars in 30-40yrs?...
