It is harder to put a VW I-4 in a Vanagon than a Ford or Subaru? Did I get that statement correct? And it may be cheaper?

Rob vwrobb@gmail.com Volkswagen Enthusiast .... my 1st Subaru conversion with a '91 2.2 cost me around $2k and took some time. I did get a good deal on the donor. My 3nd conversion ('93 2.2) was closer to $3k
