That's a very interesting article. That would explain why my rotors worked great for 35k miles then started getting worse and now are getting worse and worse faster. A death spiral! Or does it? Did I not get them broken in properly and it took 35k miles for it to show up? Seems like that would have shown up sooner. I guess the other possibility is that I had an "event" where I stopped the wheels with very hot brakes and the pads "imprinted" on that spot and started the death spiral.
