Yes, doing one of those late 80s early 90s 1.8 engines with all the diesel van bits can be pretty straightforward. In this case he also needs an adapter because he is putting it in an automatic van. The diesel Vanagons were manual tranny only so no stock diesel parts for the interface to an automatic. Kennedy sells the custom pieces needed.
