There are only two adjustments on the automatic. The 2nd gear brake band the accelerator linkage. The brake band gets adjusted on assembly and normally is good for the life of the unit. The accelerator linkage is critical. The first adjustment is the cable between the pedal and the transmission lever. The lever has a detent for "kick down mode. The cable needs to be adjusted so when pushed al the way the lever is pulled into this detent. The other adjustment is the length of the rod between the transmission lever and the throttle. There is a spring at the throttle end. Adjust so full throttle occurs just as you go into the detent. It is normal for the spring to get depressed with the pedal all the way down. Properly adjusted you should be able to almost get full throttle and then decide if you want the kick down by pushing further. A bad cable or worn linkage parts the pedal may make proper adjustment difficult. You may be amazed at what a new cable can do even if you think yours is good.

Its an automatic. I need to get it adjusted. I got it from German Transaxle but, couldnt get back to Bend for the adjustment. Now its not shifting right when I go uphill. Totally my fault but, I need a good transmission shop to follow up on what I should have done.
