I've managed to get the little metal connectors out of the plastic plug. So for the time being I will reuse the old set up until I can get something better. I just wanna get back on the road for now. My previous post about the blue smoke is no longer relevant. I drained out the synthetic Mobil1 and filled up with straight 30 weight and after a short amount of time everything seems to be OK. I still will do a compression test too. I got in touch with the seller of the engine and he verified that he did not seat the new rings. However He couldn't remember which cylinder had the bad ones. That really doesn't matter at this time and he also suggested using Castrol 20-50. I was having a heck of a time getting the idle and timing dialed in so I started checking various components. That is when I came across the bad wiring at the dizzy. I hope that correcting that will help. Thanks for all the replies, I'll post the results of this fix. Paul in Tracy
