what all does your 'setup' entail ? Do you have like 3 aux batts or something ?

TDI alternators come in 90 and 120 amp flavors.

Depending on what alternator and belt set up your are running.. a tdi altnerantor may not be a direct bolt on.

I've always found 90 amps to be plenty .. but I never have more than a very basic sinlge aux battery set up if that.

I gathner 'TDIe' means electronically controlled TDI engine ? first I've seen it. they're usually called TDI's if they are not an m-TDI. As in mechanically injected / non-electronic TDI engine.

whether a tdi engine has a fully mechaical Injection pump or e-controlled one has no relationship to which alternator it runs, I believe.
