While I agree that suing and lawyers make things happen . I am also a believer In expecting the wrong doer to make right the damage he created . That includes making you whole , a properly repaired vehicle by a shop of your choice which I always think is wise in this type of case for both sides . It protects them as they can throw their hands in the air and say. " we'll you chose to there " and it protects you to control shortcuts to save money . And if it was to be given a "Salvage" title then compensation is due you . After that fails then bring in the big guns . I have had people threaten to sue me over stupid stuff that is easily solved . My first response is always " make sure they spell my name correctly " . Friendly negotiations are always better .
