Subject: Why would a brand new sway bar drop link break?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I just finished rebuilding the entire front end of an 85 Westy including all brand new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, rack, shocks, and springs (Go Westy). The customer had a new drop link that he supplied for the front sway bar since one side had snapped. I installed it with all new bushings on both sides for the sway bar. About 4 months later the customer is saying that the brand new drop link is broken. I can see this happening with a worn out front end, but why would this happen with all brand new, rebuilt front end. A front end alignment was also done at the time of all of the other work. The van has brand new tires and 15" Go Westy rims installed. Any ideas? I don't mind replacing the parts for the customer or doing the repair over once because of a defective drop link, but I would hate for this to have some obvious cause that I am missing.
