The Vanagon is pretty well balanced and should go either way.  I always use
stands front and rear just in case the anchors pull out of the floor (not
likely).

Is anyone using a Asymmetric two post lift in their shop
and if so Is it alright to back into it
so that the Vanagon engine faces my work bench?
Any tricks to it?
