Well, perhaps you don't need to pull it from the stone or have the lady of the lake present it to you, just buy one of those ubiquitous pry bar sets. They come with 3 or more pry bars, bent end, squarish tips. Take one and grind tip to a true square so that the sharp corners grab on to the tab on the cylinder.

Worked for me and I spent a fair bit of time hammering and prying with other tools.

Good luck and don't pull those cylinders up too much!
